Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:

 

Director of Operational Excellence – SLCDK will be responsible to:

  • Act as primary liaison for the Food Management Team and lead/coordinate the training, implementation, monitoring/measurement and progress communication of Food Management standards and processes throughout the SLC group
  • Lead the implementation, training, monitoring/measuring and progress communication of the SLC Executional Excellence platforms
  • Partner with ARAMARK Supply Chain resources to lead all management and communication of specified product and authorized vendor compliance
  • Collaborate with all SLC culinary leaders to ensure best practices are identified and implemented
  • Lead the implementation and management of SLCs ProChef Culinary Development Program
  • Support all culinary related standardization and compliance initiatives
  • Direct the identification and development of new projects, standards, processes and cost/quality improvement initiatives

 

POSITION ATTRIBUTES

 

The ideal candidate for Director Operational Excellence – SLCDK:

  • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for leadership, communication skills, personnel development and training 
  • Have multi-level operations experience (preferably in SLCDK environments)
  • Have an understanding of corporate hierarchy and corporate support divisions
  • Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Be willing to work an event-based schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays
  • Exhibit an aptitude and track record of being able to “influence others without formal authority”
  • Project a high level of maturity and leadership skills
  • Manages projects to meet objective, budget and timeline goals

 

POSITION STATUS AND SCOPE:

  • Reports to the Vice President of Operational Excellence, SLCDK
  • Interfaces with field operations, regional staff, LOB support functions, and Food Management COE

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of operations leadership experience
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral, leadership and communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • People development experience
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work in a dynamic fluid environment and effectively cope with change
