Description

District Plan: Assist in the development and leading of the execution of the annual marketing plan through activities such as:

  • Strategy and budget planning sessions with the Regional Marketing Director
  • Analyze trends in district & individual building demographics, marketing program performance, account financial performance, and industry news
  • Collect data to identify opportunities for program enhancements
  • Remain knowledgeable of Aramark Education’s corporate marketing efforts, and translate to reinforce positioning at the district level

Program Implementation: Execute marketing initiatives to meet district’s business goals, assist in driving additional revenue streams, and ensure compliance with brand and program standards through activities such as:

  • Manage district enrollment through execution of programs in the marketing portfolio including dining brand selection/planning/installation, meal part programs, merchandising standards, promotions and nutrition awareness programs, facilities communications programs, and facilities brand compliance initiatives
  • Create and drive promotional programs for increased participation and customer satisfaction growth, including promotional tools, instructions, and implementation guides
  • Serve as brand steward and implementation coach for all marketing programs; ensure food and facilities operations team receive materials timely and able to coordinate execution through the school dining staff and custodial staff
  • Guide the marketing and merchandising audit process to ensure food service operations team is conducting routine audits at school locations to maintain and continually improve program quality
  • Track and analyze financial impact of marketing program implementation and report to RMD and DMs
  • Capture photos of new program implementation or special events relevant to your district/zone/area
  • Work collaboratively across all departments to ensure program accuracy, relevance, and feasibility/practicality of operational execution

Training: Conduct marketing training for district leadership, food service operations and support teams, facilities operations and support teams, and school dining staff to ensure brand standard compliance, customer service, food merchandising, and effective program execution.

  • Determine needs and execute training necessary to drive program success
  • Collaborate with culinary, training, operations, and quality/standards teams to incorporate marketing and/or merchandising training in the launch of new programs
  • Ensure operations team is prepared to conduct supplemental front-line employee training

Communication: Support communications strategy and tactics within the district, which may include:

  • Communicate and market the Aramark/CPS Food Service and Facilities Programs to School Board, Administration, Principals, Teachers, Students, Parents, Local Media, and other Community Organizations as determined by the RVP, VPO, RMD, and Communications Specialist
  • Create, distribute and analyze student and principal surveys, focus groups and other efforts to capture customer feedback
  • Support Aramark/CPS representation with local and regional industry associations and conferences
  • Participate in client events to ensure opportunities are leveraged to reinforce our value proposition within the district

Region Support:Share marketing expertise across the region via:

  • Collaborate with Regional Leadership Team to continually support base business growth and retention across the entire region
  • Assist in tracking/analyzing trends (financial, industry news, program feedback, etc.) and recommending strategies and tactics to improve region performance
  • Disseminate communications from Aramark Education marketing to the region to ensure all Operations Teams are knowledgeable on new/enhanced programs and other marketing updates
  • Partner with Regional Marketing Director and other members of Aramark Education Marketing (as appropriate) in conducting new program launch and training process and other special projects, as appropriate
  • Serve as an additional resource within the region for marketing-related efforts
  • Collaborate with smaller districts on building marketing and communications plans, creating rebid strategies, and identifying additional growth and new business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Management or related field and three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Related coursework preferred may include but is not limited to: basics of cooking, merchandising and display, communication skills and writing, basic accounting/intermediate mathematics, advertising and promotion, diversity and inclusion training
  • Merchandising and/or Marketing experience required
  • Food service operations experienced preferred
