    Description

    Serves as a collaborative partner with the business and develops solutions based on business plan, initiatives, and driving operator efficiencies as well as delivering innovation that supports and grows the business. Proven experience working with web and mobile application development. Adheres to sound and consistent development methods and practices. Prior experience with web, mobile and consumer facing, e-commerce and analytics & reporting solutions on .NET platform. Experience with service oriented application development and multiple database environments a plus. Strong communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills preferred.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with users to define and evaluate business needs, challenges and inefficiencies that may be resolved through automated solutions.
    • Analyze, review and alter systems, programs, and applications to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements.
    • Develop and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
    • Responsible for communicating any defects to vendors and application owners and coordinating testing and implementation of fixes.
    • Develops and executes test and quality assurance strategies and plans.
    • Responsible for the development of project deliverables including: project plan, requirements document, design documents, test plan and test cases, among many others.
    • Works closely with ASP’s to ensure service levels are being met and risk to the business is minimal.
    • Provides technical support of the application, interfaces and any customizations.
    • Monitors support issues, ensures resolution plans and reports progress to management.
    • Ensures that proper version control is strictly adhered to and operational risk is minimized accordingly.
    • Monitors system status and reacts to issues as they arise.
    • Communicates with site users regarding any system enhancements and or scheduled upgrades.
    • Works closely with line of business groups in the identification of needs and the design, develop and execution of solutions to meet business requirements. In addition, works with Consumer Technologies group to support innovation needs and solutions.
    • Status and Scope:
    • Deep understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS, Javascript) and ability to build web & mobile applications based on these skills. We're building a mobile future for our customers and want to ensure we use the best tools in the best possible way to achieve it.
    • Strong technical skills: Development: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, HTML, XML, XSL, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Web Services and SharePoint. Administration: IIS, Windows Server, CMS (e.g: Ektron)
    • Experience developing custom .NET-based applications.
    • Experience administering web application and content management environments.

    Qualifications

    • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent.
    • Four to six years of progressively responsible experience including, but not limited to, in depth, hands on expertise with the Microsoft application development stack: Visual Studio, C#, WCF, SQL Server, ASP.NET.
    • Strong analysis, organization, communications, interpersonal skills and project management skills is essential.
