    POSITION OBJECTIVE:

     

    Senior Financial Analyst – Decision Support sits on the Investments Team will assist the Director of Investments in evaluating profitability of new business and retention efforts through financial modeling and contract structure analysis, as well as provide investment decision support on ad hoc projects. This is a dynamic role and sits at the intersection of Finance, Sales and Operations. The SFA will be exposed to in depth knowledge of how operations affects the P&L. The SFA will also have the opportunity to manage business partner relationships (including exposure to VP and Director levels across Sales and Finance) and be a key member of the deal team.

     

    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare IRR, returns, and costing analysis for business deals utilizing best practice and benchmark assumptions and working closely with Team Members from Operation Service Excellence and Business Development.
    • Assist in deal memorandum preparation with financial and operational analysis.
    • Be the steward of financial P&L during contract negotiations, including participating in deal calls, contract review and deal approval validation.  Work closely with Legal Team to ensure deal parameters are consistent with contractual agreement.
    • Suggesting financial proposal strategies and options for the proposal team to consider
    • Assist in capital investment analysis and preparation of monthly projection process and annual capital plan process.
    • Work closely with FP&A group to prepare balance sheet (e.g. A/R) and P&L review to conduct business case analysis and other research analysis in new prospect / client comparative reports.
    • Commission calculation with analysis, and oversight of processing multiple compensation plans.
    • Complete New Business Reporting, Competitive Data Reporting and maintain Deal Log.
    • Ad-hoc reporting and research.

     

    REPORTING STRUCTURE

    The Senior Financial Analyst – Decision Support will report directly to the Director of Investments.

    Qualifications

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience and skills:

    • Must have a BS / BA in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • Ideally have 4-5 years of progressively responsible analytical financial experience required. 
    • Ability to understand, create and prepare complex and comprehensive financial models, including attention to detail.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization skills, and results-driven motivation to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
    • Ability to make recommendations through critical thinking.
    • Ability to influence decision-making through data and modeling.
    • Ability to create good relationships with sales and operations support teams.
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate complex issues and present in a variety of settings across all levels of the organization, including senior management.
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities from many levels of management.
    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations and be a problem-solver.
    • Has an ownership mentality and has a “can-do” attitude. Looks to grow via a growth mindset.
