    Description

    Project Coordinator (PC) Manages and/or coordinate projects from inception through hand-off to operational leadership of; assessment of existing technologies, analysis of emerging technologies, planning of replacement and new construction projects which incorporate healthcare technology from the design to closeout phases. In addition, provides technical assistance to onsite HCT Technical Managers and Professionals quality monitoring of HCT technical operations along with, mentoring and development of operational staff.  This position is responsible to coordinate and manage the work of biomedical & imaging technical professionals, CE/IT professionals and outside vendors whom support the healthcare technology projects. It is this individual’s responsibility to ensure the requisite levels of non-resident and resident support from various technical support groups are scheduled and utilized in the support of capital technology projects. The PC is expected to have responsibility for directly managing a capital project(s) as well as monitor projects’ cost and schedule to meet or exceed the expectations of the client.

     

    • Coordination and preparation of comprehensive project budgets
    • Functionalize project/operational financial monitoring/tracking/reporting
    • Monitors and coordinates contracted vendors to ensure project plan is being adhered to and completed
    • Supervises project activities/tasks performed by; CE/IT professionals, external technology planners, contractors and other professionals.
    • Provides support and guidance to all technical professionals engaged in planning; develops and maintains complete set of design standards; reviews and updates to ensure standards meet expectations.
    • Coordinates with users to determine needs and scope of work; monitors project budgets.
    • Reviews documents to ensure consistency with master plans, sector plans, programs, budgets and client and HCT standards.
    • Makes regular observations regarding the condition of HCT managed service centers and facilities and infrastructure and recommends and/or initiates improvement projects to ensure that buildings and capital assets remain in a state of good repair.
    • Serves as a professional consultant to end users and others on the assessment and selection of healthcare technologies and other medical/non-medical equipment
    • Works with the HCT Site Manager and client leadership and clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions from a technology project phase to operational services.
    • Maintains data structure and integrity of CMMS (iDesk) system including technology cataloging, inventory accuracy, documentation of activities throughout the full project cycle.

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Experience in coordinating/leading healthcare equipment replacement and construction projects
    • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated, increased responsibility in managing healthcare technology & capital projects
    • Multi-site planning and scenario development experience desirable
    • Formal education - Bachelors in biomedical engineering, technology planning, or healthcare administration is required.
    • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and expertise in working with diverse groups of individuals and building partnerships.
    • Ability to establish priority needs in order to provide a high level of service
    • Must be an effective communicator, written and oral, capable of addressing large audiences including hospital C-Suite leaders; facility departmental leadership, technical staff and outside vendors.
    • Exceptional judgment, integrity and discretion, and demonstrated ability to think strategically, and delivery tactically.
