As a Unit Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the general accounting function within a unit or units. You will perform a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balance general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, annual report, etc. Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. The Unit Accounting Manager supports the financial function by processing A/P, A/R, and/or payroll. May support specific business software and related transactions. Trains new office staff on specific functions and is cross-trained in the various office support functions. May perform other related office duties.
