    The candidate will learn key Aramark programs and travel to accounts during the first 90 -120 days of the induction program to support operations as needed. Upon completing their induction program, he/she must be able to relocate to a designated account in the region. He/she will report to a General Manager or DM. Plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to food service, including Aramark Healthcare and client financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client. Leads food service departments. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees. Primary level of impact in within own operations.



    Must be able to relocate to a designated account within the region upon completion of their induction program.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Upon completing the induction program, he/she must be able to relocate to a designated account in the region.
    • Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service, and drive patient and customer satisfaction.
    • Enhances the patient experience and drives positive patient satisfaction scores.
    • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
    • Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization, including conducting rounding. Identifies Aramark service expansion opportunities.
    • Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Food Service Managers, Supervisors and front line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding.
    • Directs, staffs, and trains food service department regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
    • Develops operational component forecasts and is able to explain variances. Responsible for component’s accounting functions.
    • Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.


    Critical Development Experiences while in Role

    • Participate in higher level client meetings.
    • Develop budgets and manage monthly estimates; demonstrating extensive understanding of financials and Insight administration.
    • Participate in writing a proposal for additional services.
    • Sets and prioritizes department goals, developing and implementing an action plan to address identified issues.
    • Conduct a line of service program review for another location.


    Critical Milestones Demonstration for next Role

    • Must be able to travel as needed to train/assist operations while awaiting permanent assignment up to 75% of travel time.  
    • Demonstrate ability to effectively plan and budget for department projects.
    • May participate in a new unit openings.
    • May participate on an Aramark/client taskforce.
    • Visit another component and implement an Aramark Healthcare Standard of Operation.
    • Expands own business and industry perspective recognizing alternatives and patterns in the marketplace.

    Bachelor's degree (and/or requisite industry and management experience). A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food service operations. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship, and building and growing a strong business. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and support staff and be able to respond effectively to changing demands. ServSafe certification required. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office suite applications is required.
