    Description

    The Facilities Director is responsible for managing the processes and systems in relation to grounds and property maintenance to include but not be limited to; Repair and Maintenance of the physical property and structures, staff hiring, training, coaching and development, training and advocating for Corporate Safety, Life Safety and First Responder Programs, Preventive Maintenance, Capital Planning, Project Management, Grounds Maintenance and General operation of the physical property in collaboration with California State Parks and the Concession Contract. 

     

     

    ESSENTIAL TASKS:  

    • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and counseling maintenance and grounds teams.
    • Responsible for setting department standards of operations and ensuring accountability.
    • Deployment and efficiency of staff for the department.
    • Accountable for the Payroll and Repair and Maintenance Budgets.
    • Responsible for Preventive Maintenance of all equipment, vehicles and machinery.
    • Maintain state and local codes, permits and reports.
    • Maintain grounds parking lots and landscaping for the entire property.
    • Directs, guides the environmental sustainability programs, services and Training.
    • Employee is responsible for knowing the environmental aspects and associated impacts of their job position.
    • Job specific Environmental Aspects and Impacts will be communicated by Dept. Managers during EMS training and/or pre-shift meetings.
    • Responsible for the timely scheduling and routine maintenance, to include but not limited to: Fire alarms, sprinkler system, boilers, pool, chimney, grease trap, kitchen hoods, etc.
    • Prepares and reviews capital project planning and management to include ARAMARK Capital, CSP FIA fund, ADA Fund and FF&E requests.
    • Responsible for ensuring that department is in compliance with Aramark’s safety programs.
    • Responsible for maintaining fleet vehicles including vehicle and driver files.
    • Responsible for Facilities & Maintenance weekly reports, ISIS Pro reporting and communication.
    • Acts as Emergency Responder and Facility manager on duty.
    • Reviews bid procurement and approves them.
    • Oversees and manages projects such as renovation, facilities improvement.
    • Development and deployment of the yearly Vegetations Plan.
    • Development and deployment of the yearly Maintenance Plan.
    • Development and deployment of the Emergency Plan.
    • Interface with Environmental Specialist for CSP.
    • Interface with California State Parks Superintendant.
    • Implements the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
    • Coordinates and communicates with the property managers and clients.
    • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Requires 3-5 years experience and 1-3 years in a management role
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
