    Description

    The Director, Field Operations Tech Services will strategically lead an extensive portfolio of mission critical frontline facing technical teams to design, deliver, manage, and maintain consumer technology solutions that enable the operational objectives of ARAMARK.  This position will serve as a key role in setting vision and strategy, developing, evaluating, and coordinating the needs of the business as well as the execution of a future state roadmap that aligns with the overall business Mission, Vision and Focus.  Extensive experience overseeing complex Point of Sale (POS) and field networks in high volume and decentralized environments is required.  Excellent leadership skills, analytical, customer and client relationship management skills as well as strategic vendor partnership capabilities are critical to this role. 

     

    Reporting to the AVP of Field Infrastructure Operations and PMO, the Director Field Operations Tech Services will be responsible for collaborating closely with the business and IT functional peers to develop and execute a deployment and operational roadmap that aligns with leadership’s needs, drives operator efficiencies, and generates incremental revenue opportunities

     

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develops short and long term consumer technology deployment strategies and provides the leadership necessary for the successful design, development, and execution of that strategy in a timely, cost effective, and quality basis. Drives operational execution to ensure technologies are in place and operational for every event.
    • Lead and manage a highly productive, motivated and driven teams through strong communication, empowerment, reward and coaching techniques.
    • Develops, implements, and sustains operational processes across all business units that drive productivity and growth.
    • Oversees the implementation and operational aspects of innovative field consumer technologies including payment operations, network connectivity solutions, mobile devices, survey analytics, guest tracking, loyalty programs, wireless communications and new leading edge technologies to delight our customers and drive loyalty.
    • Partners with the Insights & Analytics, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and group IT business unit leaders and other key stakeholders to drive innovation, change and implement new business processes and systems to leverage the vast amount of consumer information that is collected.
    • Maintain close working relationship with senior business and functional leaders across the ARAMARK operating portfolio.
    • Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets, which includes tightly managing expenditures and approved budgets.

    TRAVEL:

    Approximately 25 - 35%

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 7 years (or more) experience within information technology; approximately 3-5 years in a IT leadership role where consumer technology is driving revenue; previous experiences in complex environments with multiple POS solutions; experience in Hospitality, Casino/Gaming, Sports, Retail, Restaurant (Casual Dining, Fast Casual or QSR), or other consumer-facing industry.
    • Strong communications and presentation. Ability to present to and interface with customers, both business and IT, in order to counsel, recommend and implement successful, cost effective IT solutions.
    • Experience with Enterprise Point of Sale deployments; Micros or Quest a plus.
    • Proven experience in systems integration and external partnership development. Must work well with vendors/outsourcers and be versed in setting standards and measurements for IT processes. 
    • Proven ability to select top talent and create a productive environment that promotes initiative, innovation, continual learning and development of key personnel for future advancement.

     

    EDUCATION:

    The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university ideally with a concentration in IT or related discipline; an advanced degree is desirable, but not required.
