    Description

    The Senior IT Business Analyst, reporting to the IT Program Director - PMO, will be responsible for all the definition of system, project, and functional design requirements for moderately complex business applications and technical solutions. Will be required to perform business process mapping, and analysis in order to understand the operational requirements for Aramark’s technology applications, and will work with the functional, IT, and business teams to insure solutions fulfill the business’s operational and financial requirements.  Responsible for the documentation of business requirements and end user processes and use cases, contribute to the system training materials, and assist with system test case definition and execution. This individual is also responsible for developing a basic knowledge of strategic languages, database technology, operating systems and assigned applications.  Must work cooperatively with business unit representatives, Aramark IT internal technical leadership teams such as Point of Sale, Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems, and Business Intelligence, external vendors, and other departments within Aramark such as Global Operational Excellence, Finance, Strategy, Human Resources and the business sectors.

     

    Technical Expertise

    • Prepares program and application use cases, test plans, and oversee testing execution.
    • Provides feedback to technical project teams on the functionality and acceptable of technical solutions.
    • Develops project plans and reports progress on assigned tasks in a clear and timely manner.
    • Develops functional design requirements that provide logical work flows and adequate user controls to solve business challenges or create new opportunities to enable business growth or drive margin expansion through the utilization of new or improved technologies.
    • Assists in the definition of business systems design requirements that provide adequate system controls and effective use of IT resources.
    • Development of financial models that assess the financial and business impact of projects and the ongoing cost of technology to the organization.
    • Performs work across all phases of the project life cycle and is knowledgeable of the Software Development Life Cycle.
    • Defines work plans and project implementation and contingency plans for assigned projects consistent with overall project timelines, technical standards, and business requirements.
    • Communicates out work product status reports to all project managers and direct supervisor.
    • Collaborates with technical and functional stakeholders to identify potential problems that may have not been encountered previously in the organization and leverages the technical learning and experiences of other IT staff to identify potential solutions to leadership.
    • Can analyze complex business and competitive issues and discern their implications for the organization.

     

    Communication and Client Interaction

    • Communicate and prioritize work efforts in coordination with IT PMO, business stakeholders and technical teams.
    • Demonstrates strong organizational and follow up skills to deliver responses in a timely manner.
    • Defines and executes individual work plans and reports to critical stakeholders and customers.
    • Strong understanding of facets of IT implementation processes and be able to educate others in the process and expectations.
    • Able to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audiences, including the user community, and less-experienced staff.

    Qualifications

    • You will need a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of progressive business analysis experience.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential, along with effective oral communication skills demonstrated through presentations and training, as well as written communication skills demonstrated through solution specification documentation, end-user guides or manuals, and other end-user communications.
    • Able to travel up to 30% of the time as required based upon project deliverables or client meetings.
    • The ability to work daily with the Microsoft Office Suite, Internet (for research), and reporting tools is required.
