    Description

    POSITION OBJECTIVE:

     

    The Accounts Receivable Analyst will support Aramark’s Global Business Services by performing a variety of routine and non-routine reconciliations, reports, and projects for the Accounting and Cash Applications teams. The AR Analyst will identify trends and communicate results. 

     

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Support and drive key functional initiatives developed by leadership
    • Ensure month-end close and financial reporting deadlines are met
    • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analysis
    • Identify and drive process improvements, including assisting with the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports
    • Help foster an environment of continuous improvement in the accounts receivable function
    • Perform Quality Assurance analysis to help diagnose areas of opportunity
    • Contributes to team effort by communicating related results as needed
    • Complete accounting and reporting activities in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and prescribed accounting policies and/or the financial procedures of the organization
    • Ensure key and monitoring controls are maintained in support of SOX 404 Reporting on Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR)
    • Provide documentation and support to internal and external auditors. Participate in testing for SOX processes to ensure that accounting controls are operating effectively
    • Act as a liaison with the general ledger and corporate accounting teams to ensure regular timely and accurate closes
    • Maintain service level agreements and key performance indicators for the accounts receivable accounting function
    • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

    • Strong technical and analytical accounting skills
    • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Highly proficient with MS Excel formulas, functions, and pivot tables; proficiency with MS Access preferred
    • Proven problem-solving and dispute resolution ability
    • High level of organizational skills and time management
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal skills working with internal and external customers
    • Comfort in presenting information to a wide range of stakeholders, including executive-level staff
    • Ability to deal with customers in a friendly, courteous, timely and thorough manner
    • Ability to work independently as well as be part of a team
    • Proficient in use of Oracle r12 eBusiness Suite (not required)
    • Proficient in use of creating and editing queries in Oracle Discoverer preferred (not required)
    • Proficient in use of Monarch/Datawatch (not required)

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management Required
    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) a Strong Plus 

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 3+ years Accounting or Finance Experience Preferred
    • 1+ year Finance Analyst/Process Improvement Experience Preferred
