    Description

    The Distribution/Mail Clerk receives, distributes and delivers all U.S. mail received at the site including U.S. Postal, overnight packages, and vendor/messenger deliveries as well as interoffice mail.  

    · Retrieves incoming mail from local post office and brings outgoing mail to local post office on a daily basis

    · Operates in a safe and efficient manner, documents usage, and coordinates maintenance of company vehicle

    · Sorts incoming and interoffice mail by department and delivers the mail to respective departments.

    ·         Collects outgoing and interoffice mail from departments.

    · Sorts, weighs and applies postage to all outgoing mail utilizing both manual and sophisticated processing equipment.

    ·         Calculates special handling fees and enters such on documents.

    ·         Processes all internal & external distribution requirements as outlined by supervisor.

    ·         Scans all Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, USPS letters and packages and prepares for delivery.

    ·         Process outbound Federal Express as needed

    ·         Deliver priority items as per the recommended schedule.

    ·         Deliver and pickup towels from TYRC in the early morning.

    ·         Receive skids of paper and deliver paper to multi-function devices.

    ·         Receives building supplies and materials.

    ·         Other duties as assigned.

     

    Position reports to Director of Corporate Services Operations.  

    The skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions include but are not limited to tracking and delivering mail and packages, resolving delivery issues, sorting vendor deliveries and acting as a customer service representative for internal customers to assist them with their mail and delivery needs. Requiring knowledge of the U.S. Post Office classes of mail and regulations.

    Qualifications

    The skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions include but are not limited to tracking and delivering mail and packages, resolving delivery issues, sorting vendor deliveries and acting as a customer service representative for internal customers to assist them with their mail and delivery needs. Requiring knowledge of the U.S. Post Office classes of mail and regulations.

     

    • Driver’s License required
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Previous Mail Room/Distribution Services experience preferred
    • Knowledge of mail room software, hardware and other equipment
    • Ability to multi task
    • Excellent customer service skills
