    Description

    • Act as liaison between Aramark, GM Facilities, and the Transformation team.
    • Support the Transformation team with using the service agreement Maintenance on Demand (MOD) process.
    • Act as Audio Visual Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Transformation team and GM Global Facilities in developing, implementing, and finding cost savings opportunities in AV related construction.
    • Act as liaison between Facilities/Transformation team and departments within GM IT as needed to support on-going construction projects.
    • A focus on evaluating new technologies in the conference room spaces for Transformation team consideration.
    • Assist with conference room app development and all conference room booking needs.
    • May be scheduled to supervise skilled trades in the delivery of daily maintenance and repairs tasking.
    • Direct/attend meetings as required to understand project scope, reach mutual agreements with on-site labor, and ensure efficient delivery of project scope holding labor/sub-contractors accountable for timely/cost effective/quality delivery of services.
    • Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
    • The Project Manager evaluates the detailed work parameters; the skills, time, material and equipment required; and, the conditions and accessibility of the work site.
    • The PM develops a preliminary schedule, cost estimate and summary justification for the project for customer and GM-WTC FAM and customer approval. Ensures full compliance and completion of the on-demand process and approval criteria.
    • Preparation of comprehensive project budgets
    • Extensive knowledge of project financial monitoring/tracking/reporting and use of electric reporting systems
    • Act as liaison with contracted architectural/engineering companies as needed to ensure plan is being adhered to and needs met.
    • Supervise selection of planners, architects, contractors and other professionals.
    • Provide direction to consultants engaged in campus planning.
    • Ensure all work is consistent with master plans, sector plans, programs, budgets and campus standards.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related curriculum.
    • Minimum of 7 - 10 years of relevant technical experience as Facility Manager, Project Engineer, Planner/Scheduler Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role
    • Knowledge of integrated facility operations, automated technologies and systems maintenance in engineering/research environment, with significant responsibility for customer relations.
    • Experience and proficiency with project management and scheduling solutions in large scale, technical operations and all aspects of planning, staffing, scheduling and cost estimating.
    • Administrative experience related to project management, including safety cost tracking, progress monitoring, reporting and corrective action planning.
    • Provide knowledge and support to Ricoh AV Techs in their mission to maintain campus audio/video resources.
    • Trouble shoot and resolve issues with campus audio/video equipment by using personal expertise or by accessing expert support from other resources both internal and external to GM.
    • Provide customer-driven solutions to resolve barriers to collaboration, with a strong focus on end-user satisfaction.
    • Assist integrators and other contracted entities in completing audio/video projects by scheduling, gathering information from end-users, and facilitating room access for contractors and equipment.
    • Use the Corrigo maintenance ticket system to identify and resolve audio/video issues on campus.
    • Assist with the identification and evaluation of new technologies that support GM’s goal of providing a sustainable workplace.
    • Evaluate used audio/video equipment for possible reuse or recycling. Maintain an inventory of extra equipment that can be reused.
    • Assist other groups at GM (Video Conferencing, IT, Phone) in providing audio/video services to the end user.
