    The Director of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the overall project management function, providing leadership, coordination, governance and management of the PMO processes. Key responsibilities include: provide strategic direction on standardized program management policies and procedures to drive consistency and efficiency of IT project delivery, supporting project managers, facilitating project prioritization and approval for project management deliverables, managing project management processes, monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to stakeholders and executive leadership. 



    • Leadership – Own and drive project governance, develop and enforce program delivery standards and methods, manage project budgets. Ensure alignment of the IT and Business strategies for each project meet Aramark needs and ties back to strategic goals. Define the project management process, standards, deliverables and operational cadence necessary to ensure consistent project execution. 
    • Client Relationship – Must establish, cultivate, and nurture relationships within IT and the Businesses to manage quality projects that drive value across the Aramark organization. Possess the ability to lead and motivate people and encourage teamwork, an ability to communicate effectively with senior management, and a clear vision of what determines a successful solution for the customer and for the company.
    • Financial Performance – Must manage and report project budgets and capital forecasts for IT owned projects. Regularly track progress on project plans and provide up-dates to executives as requested.
    • Compliance – Must adhere to all GAAP and internal Aramark Governance and Accounting policies and standards.
    • Provides a consistent planning and governance framework to deliver priority projects that align with the strategic plans for the organization.
    • Establishes policies, regulations, functions, process, and procedures and responsibilities that define the establishment, management and control of projects, programs or portfolios.
    • Develops and implements consolidated best practices and processes, consolidates best practices and process within the organization.
    • Creates standardized process across all departments and services and implements repeatable project delivery processes to ensure that Tech can readily manage and deliver products to meet the customer’s needs.
    • Develops culture for project management including milestones, metrics and KPI and ensures that project managers utilize the practices. Resource management
    • Allocates resources across projects to provide the right resources at the right time based on timelines, budgets, resource loads and what-if analysis
    • Creates and maintains project artifacts, archives and tool sets to enable early visibility into project performance for better decision-making.


    • Productivity – Position will work with IT Finance and the business financial teams to properly manage productivity. Ability to manage a team.


    • Experience – 10+ years of experience in large scale program and project delivery, culture of delivery, process and methodology adherence.  
    • EducationMBA, Degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Systems Engineering or related field  
    • Impact – Able to come in and deliver projects that meet the business requirements and adhere to schedule and budget that deliver value to our business.
    • Complexity – Must be able to define project plans and resource constraints to deliver
    • Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge – Project management and delivery, financial acumen, and large scale transformation
    • Judgement – Able to gather facts as inputs to analyze situations that lead to making sound decisions.
    • Experience and leadership in developing and growing project/program/portfolio management organizations
    • Demonstrated experience directly dealing with a customer from a program/project, liaison, engineering, and/or sales perspective
    • Strong financial acumen to understand cost/benefit and payback of projects
    • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
    • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
    • Strong analytic and decision-making abilities
    • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
    • Experience with large scale change effort
    • Understand software development principles
    • Familiarity with SOX requirements/compliance preferred
