The Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion role is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating enterprise-wide programs and initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior leader in Aramark’s Corporate Social Responsibility team.
  • Work with Aramark’s Chief Diversity and Sustainability Officer, Executive Diversity Council, Board of Directors, and senior leadership to build a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Provide thought leadership and partners in the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the organization.
  • Actively collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop strategies, objectives, plans and policies to meet the goals of the organization.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation and evaluation of D&I programs and initiatives that align to key business objectives.
  • Act as subject matter expert and internal consultant to operationalize D&I initiatives across all business sectors and functions.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive portfolio of relationships among external diversity-related organizations.
  • Provide direction, support and training to ERGs (employee resource groups) to ensure goals and objectives are aligned with Aramark’s overall business strategy.
  • Partner with COEs to integrate diversity & inclusion into core people processes (i.e. people planning, recruiting, engagement, supplier diversity, etc.)
  • Work with business leaders to provide insights, resources, tools, and actions that increase the organization’s focus on driving action in promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Develop and execute external partnership strategies that strengthens the Aramark brand.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations leadership to advice current and prospective clients on ways Aramark can drive local D&I initiatives.
  • Manage communications efforts that relate to activities and outcomes of the Company’s diversity strategy and programs internally and externally:  internally, on the Company’s intranet site, publications, newsletters, and other communications as needed; and externally, in terms of D&I reports, RFP and client presentations, press releases and other collateral materials.
  • Conduct and/or direct D & I related research and analyses in support of the organization’s D&I programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor public regulatory/policy changes and local advocacy trends.
  • Lead special D&I programs and initiatives as directed.
  • Develop and manage an annual budget and allocates resources.


  • 10-15 years HR/D&I experience and minimum of 5 years team management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree in Business, OD, I/O Psychology, Training and Development or HR preferred
  • Ability to understand business strategies and translate into integrated processes and programs that support business goals
  • Experience driving successful execution of D&I strategies as part of a comprehensive talent management plan.
  • Strong change leadership skills coupled with exceptional relationship building and influencing skills at an executive level
  • Experience with budget and vendor management contract negotiation.
  • Strong business and financial acumen (cross functional experience a plus)
  • Superior written and verbal skills
  • Strong problem solving skills; ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions to complex challenges
  • Ability to plan and organize self and staff to maximize use of time
  • Strong project management experience, including global implementation
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast paced environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
