Description

Position Summary. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst provides analytical and business ownership support to Contract Owners in the Strategic Sourcing department. This support includes the analysis of spend data to analyze trends and usage of Avendra contracts. The Analyst will also support the identification, implementation, and refinement of Best Practices across the entire Strategic Sourcing Organization.

 

Position Reports to Director, Sourcing Analytics

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support for ISWs, RFPs, and business ownership to Contract Owners
  • Partner with Contract Owners and their Supervisors to scope and manage the delivery of analytical projects
  • Probe further into contract related data based on direction, hypotheses from Contract Owners

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, implementation, and refinement of Best Practices
  • Identify trends and findings from analyzing key program data and metrics. Deliver these findings to Contract Owners

Work Environment.  This job operates in an office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands. This is largely a sedentary role with some light lifting of files possibly needed. 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and modeling applications (Microsoft Excel and Access)
  • Excellent analytical skills – turning data into knowledge and knowledge into action
  • Excellent organizational skills – effectiveness in prioritizing work, ability to multitask and comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to generate ideas and business solutions
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Experience with Avendra’s contracting process a plus
  • Customer service orientation

Education Requirements.   BS/BA in relevant field or equivalent years' experience
