The Sports and Entertainment division within ARAMARK Corporation serves more than 200 premier stadiums, arenas, convention centers and concert venues.  Since 1975 we've created culinary memories throughout the United States.  The secret to our success is that we start with great food and a well managed facility.  We understand that ensuring a memorable experience for our customers goes far beyond the food we serve. 

 

We are currently seeking an Executive Steward for the George R. Brown Convention Center, located in Houston, TX.

 

  • The Executive Steward will be directly responsible for supervising staff by creating schedules, delegating tasks and ensuring all goals set out by the managers/Executive Chef are being completed.
  •  Responsible for supporting culinary operations, maintenance of equipment and all assigned areas, sanitation and cleanliness, assist with inventory of all products, and most importantly, quality of food and guest satisfaction. 
  • The Executive Steward will also be responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and overseeing daily performance of staff and for customer service.     

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have 5+or more years managing a staff of 10 or more in kitchen sanitation and dishwashing.  
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and understand the food contamination prevention.  
  • The Executive Steward must be able to complete hourly schedules, manage a staff, complete monthly inventory of supplies, maintain kitchen integrity, and collaborate with all other departments for food safety.  
  • Ideal candidates will possess a Culinary degree 
  • Candidate must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential for success in this role.
  •  P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable. 
  • Candidates must be able to work event based hours including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
